Mahad Hassan, M.D.

Dr. Mahad Hassan is an Assistant Professor In Residence at the University of California, Los Angeles in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. He specializes in sports medicine and both arthroscopic and open preservation surgery of the hip and knee. He serves as the Director of Hip Preservation Surgery at UCLA and is an Assistant Team Physician for UCLA Athletics and the Los Angeles Lakers.

Previously, he completed advanced fellowship training in adolescent and young adult hip preservation and sports medicine at Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School.

His academic practice integrates elite athlete care with comprehensive reconstruction techniques to optimize long-term joint health.
